The Club has issued information in relation to the coronavirus (COVID-19) as the club takes proactive steps to prevent the illness from spreading.
While member and public access to the Clubhouse and Course remain unaffected, the club will keep everyone informed should authorities enforce a change.
We all have a role to play, each of us can play a part in limiting the spread of coronavirus and maintaining a high level of personal hygiene is key.

To protect yourself and others at all times, the NHS has issued the following guidance:

DO:
• Wash your hands with soap and water often – do this for at least 20 seconds
• Always wash your hands when you get home or into work
• Use hand sanitiser gel if soap and water are not available
• Cover your mouth and nose with a tissue or your sleeve (not your hands) when you cough or sneeze.
• Put used tissues in the bin straight away and wash your hands afterwards.
• Try to avoid close contact with people who are unwell.

DON'T:
• Do not touch your eyes, nose or mouth if your hands are not clean.

The club has also taken a number of steps, based on the latest professional medical advice.

This includes:

• Distributing posters to provide information on how to avoid catching and spreading coronavirus.
• Implementing additional environmental hygiene control measures.
• Hand sanitisers(when supply allows) are soon to be located at the Main Entrance, Golf Reception and Spikes Bar Entrance, staff, members and all visitors are strongly advised to use them regularly.
• Please do not shake hands with other golfers or staff members
• Please do not touch the flagstick unless you really need to
• Please do not share drinks, food, golf clubs and clothing
• Maintain at least 1 metre distance from one another

If you feel ill

Not all illnesses are coronavirus so if you have symptoms other than those of coronavirus, seek and follow medical advice as you would normally.
If you think you may have coronavirus then you must not attend your GP’s surgery, a hospital or any other public place.

The main symptoms are:

• a cough
• a high temperature
• shortness of breath

This is particularly important if you have been in close contact with someone who has the virus or has been to a country or area with a high risk of coronavirus in the last 14 days.
No matter how mild the symptoms you are advised to self-isolate for 7 days, please also avoid coming to the club in that time.
